And They're Off!

Today I woke up at the earliest time that I have ever even thought about opening my heavy eyelids.  Yep, 2:45 A.M. is waaayyyyyyy too early, for me at least.  My brother, Hank and my older sister Hattie, are going to a College Plus gathering in Pennsylvania.  Their flight left at a little after six this morning.  And since we live two hours away from the airport we came to spend the night at my Mamaw's house which is only about an hour away from the airport.  I had to share a bed with my sister, who was so excited that she did not sleep much, but rather looked at her iPod to see what time it was all night long.  And as you might think the light on her iPod was very bright.  And Lilly, her dog that we all treat like our own, has this toe thing, where if you move your toes at all during the night she will growl viciously and, if the toe wiggling continues, she might even nip a little.  When she was little, Lilly that is, Harris would sometimes come and crawl in bed with Hattie when he could not sleep.  The only problem with that is that Harris tosses and turns when he sleeps and would most of the time end up bumping Lilly several times during the night.  So that is why she is a little apprehensive about feet while she is sleeping.  So over the years I have learned to keep my feet very still when sleeping with Lilly so as not to upset her.  So between the not being able to move my feet and Hattie looking at her bright iPod every ten minutes or so sleep was not abundant as you could asume.  So at about two forty-five I got up and low and behold Hank could not sleep either.  So we got ourselves a spoon of peanut butter and walked outside to see if there were any stars out.  And, as usual, there were only a hand full to be seen because of the haze from the city.  So we came back in and watched some Jostie Flicks to pass the time away until we could leave.  We got them there on time and it will not be long now and they will be happily playing games in Pennsylvania.  And all this to say.........  That I hope you guys have a blast and don't forget to buy me a souvenir!!  ;)
