Man, I love this stuff!

I have found sooo many things that one can put Nutella on.  Ezekiel bread,(or any whole wheat toasted bread) graham crackers, strawberry's, pretzels,....  And I have not tried putting it on pancakes but I will soon!!  The list is endless!!  Pick up a jar at your local grocery store today! And enjoy the smooth, creamy, and chocolaty taste of Nutella.  :D  Hehe!!

This next picture just made me laugh!

And some times I feel like I could do this with Nutella!  ;P

Temple Grandin

My sister, a while ago, put Temple Grandin on our Netflix queue.  I really did not think that I would like it but it was soooo cool.  The cinematography was great!!  It was VERY tastefully done and it turned out to be a very sweet movie.  If you have not seen it you REALLY should!  *nods head*  I don't want to show you the whole movie, but I will show you a few of the pictures from the movie.  If you have already seen the film take this time to remember it and enjoy the memory!  If you haven't seen it yet, I hope that these pictures will get you motivated!  Hehe!

An Update

We finally have Mamaw all settled in here at our house.  At first she was not thrilled at the idea, but she really did not mind it as much as I thought.  She is warming up here and is now back to her old self of getting up when nobody is looking and trying to clean something or wash the dishes.  But here we see here sooner and can help here so she does not fall.  And she has someone with her almost every second of the day so that helps make it where she does not fall.  We ended up putting her in Hattie's bedroom.  We moved all Hat's stuff out and put Mamaw's bed and dresser in.  Then we took down Hat's things from of the walls and hung some of Mamaw's pictures up that she had in her room at her house.  I think that it makes her feel more comforted having familiar things around her.  She is doing pretty well today.  Yesterdays she was bad physical but was better mentally.  Hattie is staying up stairs.  Really it is an unfinished attic up there but there is one LITTLE eara that is closed in.  There is a tiny window unit in the small window up there.  It is just big enough to fit a small desk, a little chair, and her twin matres just sitting on the floor.  It is actually a nice cozy little room and I think that she enjoys being up there.  There is what I have been thinking and doing lately.  What have you guys been up to?

Hebrews 4:12

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.  KJV

Like It?

What does everybody think about the new background?  It will not be permanent, you know me.  I can never keep a background more than a month or so!  : /  But I think I like this one for a while.  It reminds me of traveling and I LOVE to travel!!  Please leave me a comment and tell me what you think!

Ahhhhh....

We decided that for this weekend it would be best if Mamaw came to stay with Mumsy at Mumsy's little lake cabin.  Mean while the rest of the family will be trying to work out a permanent home for her to live in.  I think that we might get her a little house and set it in our yard next to our house.  Then we will be able to put her in her wheel chair and roll her right next door, to our house, and she can sit and talk or watch us do our work and eat her meals with us.  We are not positive that this will happen but as things look now I think we will end up doing somthing like that.  It is hard to take Mamaw out of the house that she has lived in for 50 years.  It is the house that we all remember having Christmas eve morning breakfast in.  I have spent sooo much time there and it is just sad to have to do this.  But I do believe that this is the best thing for Mamaw.  I think that she will be happy listening to us play music or just hanging out with us.  So as I was saying, since it was just going to be Mumsy taking care of Mamaw this weekend, I decided that I would tag along and see what I could do to help.  So here I am.  And I think, if you have to be somwhere, this is one of the best places one could be.  Here in a snug, air-conditioned cabin on a quaint little lake.  The birds are chirping in the trees and the little waves on the small lake seem to be following the gentle wind as it blows accross the cove.  The family of ducks come swimming by every now and then.  Ahhhhh......  So pleasant.  I feel good just knowing that we can be with Mamaw round-the-clock.  And so far, Mamaw does not seem to mind that she is not in her house.  We just gave her a warm shower because Mumsy has a shower that just works perfectly for an older person.  Then Mumsy rubbed some lotion on her and now she is laying in a recliner with a warm, soft blanket taking a little nap.  Although the shower made her a little tired I think that she really enjoyed it.  Mumsy made me some coffee and I made myself a mocha and decided to work some more on a blog post.  I just love the way God always makes things turn out so nicely.  As He knits the threads of my life together sometimes all I can see are the loose ends but if I will just learn to see things like He sees them.  He sees a wonderful work of art that just needs a few more strokes of paint.  These verses do not nesesaraly have anything to do with what I just said but they were some of the verses that I read in my Bible study this morning and I just wanted to share them with you.

Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. 2For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward; 3How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; 4God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?                                                    Hebrews 2:1-4

The Shuttle!!!

This morning I woke up early and began to get ready for one thing, the shuttle launch!!!  We had Mumsy and our best friends over and had some finger foods.  Then we all gathered around the TV and waited, and then, slowly but surely, 3-2-1, "the space shuttle Atlantis is now lifting off for the last time!"  I got goose bumps!  And then we began to pray.  And pray.  And pray.  The last thing that we wanted was for a repeat of the Challenger.  Then, in a matter of seconds, it was safely in space!  Oh thank you God!  We all felt better just knowing that they had had a successful launch.  After the great launch we decided that it was time to celebrate with some orange sherbert and ginger ale!  Mmmmmm.  Thanks Mumsy, for all the food!  I will have to stop the post at that, but I am working on another one for tomorrow!  Have a great night!

Oops

Unfortunately it has been a very long time since my last post, oops.  This week and the last one have, once again, turned out crazy.  Not bad crazy, but just crazy.  I think that in the near future things will be slowing down for our family, and then I hope to return to posting more often.  I just wanted to post so that you guys wouldn't think that I had fallen off the face of the earth!  ;)  Rest assured that more posts will come in the future if all goes well.  Mamaw can no longer stay by herself because she falls every time we leave.  See, for a long time now one of us, us being my family, Mumsy, and sometimes my Uncle Mark, have been with her almost round the clock.  But when we leave for a second, even to be gone for five minutes, she gets up, tries to do something like sweep the floor that we just swept, and falls.  This has taken up most of our schedule it seems, but we wanted Mamaw to be able to stay in her own house as long as possible.  But now it seems that we can no longer do that.  We have decided that in her and our best interests it will be better if she lives with someone.  So the adventure continues.
And before I go I want to tell you about someone that could use yours prayers.  Or....  Hey, I will just give you the link to her blog .  And could you remember to pray for Grandma?  Her blood work did not go as well as it normally does.  It was not terrible but it has been better.
And on a rather random note, here is a pretty picture that Mumsy took on one of her many adventures.  Is that not the coolest water fall?

Hugs,
    Harlie
